ENTRY INFORMATION - The COMPETITION

 

ABOUT - The COMPETITION

A chance to compete in solos, duos, and small groups for video adjudication and feedback before the competition season. Scholarships and cash prizes are awarded.

ENTRIES - The COMPETITION 

Dancers MUST BE registered in The CONVENTION to enter The COMPETITION.  

Entries will be accepted on a first-come come first-served basis with a limited number of entries accepted. Register early to ensure acceptance into The COMPETITION. 

Will not be processed until full payment has been provided.  

Late entries will be accepted (space permitting) but will be subject to a late entry fee.  

Dancers may not compete against themselves in a solo category (unless they have a modern and contemporary solo, and the categories have to be combined).  

Duos may only compete in the same category if there is a change of duo partnership.  

Independent entries- dancers are encouraged to register through their home studio; however, in the event there is an independent entry, please email info@livetodanceonline.com about registration for The CONVENTION & The COMPETITION.

Overtime numbers may result in a penalty, so please be aware of time restrictions.  

All entries are expected to perform on their scheduled day/time. In extenuating circumstances, the director of Live to Dance may allow an out-of-category dance.  

MEDICAL REFUND POLICY – If a dancer must withdraw from an event (The CONVENTION or The COMPETITION), a doctor's note must be submitted to Live to Dance before the event date for CREDIT ONLY, less a 15% administration fee.

DANCE ADJUDICATORS/JUDGES – The COMPETITION

Live to Dance adjudicators/judges are professionals in the dance community and experienced educators. Current teachers, choreographers, and dancers. They are chosen to accelerate dancers' technique, strength, and artistry through feedback.
